Per Diem Day Shift RN - Inpatient Oncology

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a per diem day-shift Registered Nurse for its inpatient oncology unit. The nurse provides patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients, planning, directing and evaluating nursing care while acting as an educator for peers, patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and follow established nursing objectives, standards, policies and procedures.
• Assess patients to build a standard of care and reassess as needs change.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adequate supplies, and know how to operate equipment.
• Act as an educator to peers, patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for healthcare providers.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Able to lift and move patients and equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, independently and with attention to detail.
