People Operations Specialist

About the role

Range is seeking a People Operations Specialist to serve as the operational backbone of its People function. You will own the employee lifecycle experience, manage day‑to‑day HR operations, and act as the primary internal owner of the PEO relationship.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
• Manage timesheet and payroll inputs, coordinating closely with the PEO and Finance teams.
• Serve as the primary owner of HR systems, data accuracy, reporting, and audits.
• Triage and resolve employee questions related to benefits, policies, and HR processes.
• Maintain and improve HR documentation, policies, and self‑service resources.
• Partner with the Head of People and HRBP to improve and scale people operations.
• Identify process gaps and proactively implement improvements.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience running HR operations in a fast‑paced environment, ideally in a tech startup.
• Strong attention to detail paired with good judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Comfort partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Desire to build scalable systems, not just execute tasks.
