People Operations Director

About the role

Shiftsmart is building the Amazon of labor, connecting millions of flexible workers with leading brands. As People Operations Director you will own the people infrastructure that scales hiring, onboarding, performance, and retention as the company grows rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead talent acquisition end‑to‑end, managing hiring funnel metrics and improving time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, and offer‑accept rates.
• Design and run interviewer training, structured interview kits, calibrated scorecards, and debrief practices to raise the talent bar.
• Develop onboarding programs that get new hires productive quickly and fluent in Shiftsmart’s operating principles.
• Own performance‑management cycles, including goal‑setting, calibration, ratings, and feedback.
• Identify root causes of attrition and build systematic retention programs such as career pathing and manager effectiveness.
• Build and use people analytics (funnel conversion, ramp time, attrition) to prioritize high‑leverage initiatives.
• Manage, coach, and develop the recruiting team, leading by doing while scaling responsibilities.
