Pelvic Health Physical/Occupational Therapist

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring a Rehab Therapist Specialist (pelvic health physical or occupational therapist) at its Main Campus. The therapist delivers safe, competent therapy as ordered by a physician and treats patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions such as chronic pelvic pain, myofascial pain syndrome and bowel and bladder incontinence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Deliver high-quality therapy with minimal supervision in line with physical/occupational therapy principles
• Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management and provide quality patient care
• Maintain positive interactions with patients and co-workers and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy school
• Licensed to practice Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in Florida
• American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Pelvic Health certification
• Preferred: previous experience or clinical rotations treating pelvic patients in an outpatient setting, and two years of experience
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs, and to work in a stressful environment
