Pediatric RD Supervisor (Inpatient & Outpatient)

About the role

The Pediatric RD Supervisor coordinates food and nutrition services for patient care units, acting as a liaison between clinical dietetics staff and the food service department. This role ensures regulatory compliance, cost control, and quality performance while leading a team of nutrition professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage administrative nutrition and food service operations across patient care units.
• Maintain cost control and quality performance procedures.
• Supervise, train, and develop department staff.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
• Oversee food quality improvement and service activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Nutrition, Food Service Management, Public Health or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Current licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist status with the LBEDN.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical dietetics, food service management, research or education, with demonstrated leadership.
• Preferred: 2 years of management/leadership experience.

Required skills

• Computer and data‑entry skills, proficiency with Windows‑style applications.
• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition support principles, counseling techniques, and discharge planning.
• Understanding of regulatory and voluntary accreditation standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
