Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About the role

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will develop, implement, and coordinate individualized therapy programs for children with functional deficits, supporting their participation at home, school, and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and select appropriate assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing personal care, play, community integration, and communication.
• Monitor progress, modify interventions, and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Adapt environments, equipment, and assistive technology to promote independence.
• Educate parents, families, and caregivers on functional skills and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educational personnel, and community agencies.
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants and support personnel as needed.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgment, compassion, integrity, and professional conduct.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, record‑keeping, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of human development, disability impact, and evidence‑based occupational therapy practice.
• Successful completion of required OT fieldwork and graduation from an accredited OT program.

Required skills

• NBCOT certification.
• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist license.
• Child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Pass required background screening and fingerprinting.
