Patient Care Partner – Night Shift

About the role

The Patient Care Partner provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed clinical team members, supporting both in‑person and telehealth encounters during the night shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with the interprofessional team, patients, families, and care partners.
• Perform validated patient care activities, respond to call lights, and conduct assigned patient rounds.
• Assist with telehealth visits, operating peripheral devices (e.g., electronic stethoscope) and software such as Epic and Vidyo.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate or support virtual clinical exams as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with knowledge of medical terminology and patient care basics.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks safely, including lifting 40‑50 lb and walking 8‑10 miles per shift.
• Strong communication skills and respect for diverse patient backgrounds.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills
