About the role
Santander is seeking a friendly and reliable Part‑Time Teller to join its Edgartown branch on Martha’s Vineyard. In this customer‑focused position you will assist clients with everyday banking needs while upholding the bank’s standards for service, security, and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers, minimize wait times, and provide high‑quality service.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other transactions accurately.
- Handle cash and maintain precise cash‑drawer balances.
- Follow all compliance, risk‑management and fraud‑prevention policies.
- Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate products.
- Educate customers on digital banking tools and self‑service options.
- Assist with custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Support nearby branch locations when business needs require.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
- At least 6 months customer‑service experience.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to recognize and escalate risk concerns.
- Detail‑oriented, organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
