Entry-Level Accountant – Hybrid (Parsippany, NJ)

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level Accountant to support key accounting activities for a client in Parsippany, New Jersey. This long‑term contract position offers a hybrid work model with one day per week on‑site and the remainder remote. You will help maintain accurate financial records, assist with year‑end cleanup, and perform daily accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial entries to ensure accurate records.
• Support year‑end cleanup by organizing documentation and resolving outstanding items.
• Process purchase order information and verify supporting records.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, tracking transactions and updating records.
• Manage financial images and documentation for audit readiness.
• Provide operational support for treasury‑related transactions.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience or foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
• Hands‑on ability with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting entries.
• Experience performing bank and account reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel for data organization and reporting.
• Familiarity with purchase orders and financial documentation processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a team‑oriented approach.
