About the role
The State of Georgia’s Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a part‑time Recreation Worker to deliver instructional and recreational programs for youth at the Muscogee Youth Development Center in Midland, GA.
Key responsibilities
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse client needs, abilities, and interests.
- Conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations covering language, life, and workforce entry skills.
- Plan and coordinate comprehensive recreational programs that teach decision‑making, physical fitness, leisure options, and social skills.
- Estimate material needs, maintain inventory, and repair or adjust equipment as required.
Required profile
- Associate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- At least one year of experience at the Practical Instructor 1 level or equivalent.
