Part‑Time Food Service Worker – Healthcare

About the role

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a part‑time Food Service Worker to join the culinary team at CHRISTUS Micro Palestine. You will help prepare, present, and serve nutritious meals to patients, caregivers, and staff in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients according to approved recipes.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Store food following wrapping, dating, rotation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Serve customers courteously, resolve concerns, and follow service standards.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, inventory, and cash control policies.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year food‑service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work a flexible part‑time schedule, including weekends.
• Commitment to food safety, quality, and patient‑centered service.
