Part‑Time Dental Hygiene Clinical Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The College seeks a qualified Dental Hygiene professional to provide direct clinical instruction to dental hygiene students on a part‑time, as‑needed basis. This position supports the program’s accreditation standards and promotes patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical instruction and supervision to dental hygiene students.
• Evaluate student performance and assess achievement of clinical competencies.
• Guide students in delivering safe, ethical, patient‑centered care.
• Ensure compliance with infection‑control protocols, clinic policies, and professional standards.
• Assist students in developing critical thinking, clinical judgment, and professional behaviors.
• Maintain accurate student evaluations and clinical records.
• Participate in faculty meetings, calibration sessions, and professional‑development activities.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support program goals and accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• Graduate of a CODA‑accredited Dental Hygiene program.
• Current and valid Georgia Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
• Minimum three years of clinical dental hygiene experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Clinical dental hygiene procedures.
• Infection‑control protocols.
• Use of electronic dental records and clinical management software.
• Operation of advanced in‑field dental equipment.
• Local anesthesia administration (preferred).

What we offer

• Hourly compensation of $25 per hour.
• Part‑time schedule not to exceed 19 hours per week.
