Part‑time Allied Health / Nurse Aide Lab Assistant

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part‑time Allied Health/Nurse Aide Laboratory Assistant to support multiple campus laboratories. The role involves assisting faculty with classroom instruction, maintaining lab environments, and ensuring smooth operation of equipment while providing direct support to students.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record‑keeping, and safety procedures.
• Mentor or tutor students and supervise them during laboratory sessions.
• Perform routine laboratory maintenance, cleaning, and basic equipment operation.
• Manage inventory, requisition supplies, and prepare materials needed for classes.
• Track attendance and support miscellaneous instructional tasks.

Required profile

• Completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course or a Medical Assisting Skills I course from a post‑secondary institution (transcript required).
• Ability to work at multiple campus locations as needed.
• Strong research ability, time‑management, and quality‑management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Laboratory equipment operation and basic maintenance.
