Part-time Speech-Language Pathologist – Acute Adult & NICU

About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide assessment and treatment for acute adult and NICU patients at Ochsner Baptist. This part‑time position involves planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy programs in accordance with state practice guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform age‑ and diagnosis‑appropriate evaluations and deliver therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adjust treatment plans based on patient response.
• Participate in in‑service education, continuing education programs, and departmental initiatives.
• Educate and train other staff members as needed.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Louisiana Speech Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (ASHA) required within two years of hire.
