Part-Time Security Officer - Front Desk Concierge

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer - Front Desk Concierge in Chandler, AZ. The role provides a welcoming presence at a financial institution location, manages visitor access, monitors entry activity and responds to security-related concerns. Pay is $24 per hour, with day shifts Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and customers by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Serve as a professional front-desk presence: greet visitors, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials and direct people according to site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility, keep visitor and delivery logs and report unusual activity, policy violations and security concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and courteously to incidents, alarms and critical situations while following site protocols.
• Facilitate communication between visitors, employees and authorized personnel while keeping things confidential.

Required profile

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Age of at least 18 for unarmed roles and 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing requirements may apply before employment.

Preferred qualifications

• Guard card or license.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.
