Part-Time Recruiter for Department of Juvenile Justice (Macon)

About the role

This part‑time recruiter will support the Department of Juvenile Justice in Macon by identifying and attracting qualified talent. Working closely with facility managers, you will help meet staffing needs while representing State of Georgia employment opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess staffing requirements by meeting with managers and HR staff.
• Develop and execute recruitment plans, including job fairs and community outreach.
• Post job announcements and screen applicants using the Team Ga Careers applicant tracking system.
• Review applications, determine qualifications, and coordinate interviews.
• Build relationships with colleges, military installations, and other talent sources.
• Provide HR policy guidance to hiring managers.
• Travel within the region as needed for recruitment activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience in human resources or related recruiting functions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple hiring projects.
• Preference for candidates with experience recruiting military, law‑enforcement, or government positions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Team Ga Careers applicant tracking system.
