About the role
The Volunteer Program Coordinator will lead statewide coordination of volunteer services for secure facilities within the Department of Juvenile Justice. Reporting to the Director of Victim and Volunteer Services, you will shape recruitment, onboarding, training, and recognition strategies while ensuring compliance with policy and alignment with departmental goals.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and provide technical assistance for volunteer service delivery in compliance with DJJ policies and statewide initiatives.
- Oversee operational procedures and guide field‑based Volunteer Resource Coordinators to ensure consistency and program expansion.
- Identify opportunities for volunteer integration across facility programs, DJJ events, and state initiatives.
- Evaluate program effectiveness using metrics, conduct data‑driven analysis, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as liaison among facility staff, agency leadership, volunteers, and community stakeholders to promote a culture of service and accountability.
- Support high‑level projects, grants, contracts, and the implementation of new procedures as needed.
