About the role

PsyPhyCare is looking for a qualified physician to provide on‑site medical care for an adult population in a correctional healthcare setting in Marion, Illinois. This part‑time position offers a consistent schedule of roughly 20 hours per week across two weekdays, allowing for flexible clinical work.

Key responsibilities

Deliver general medical care, conduct physical examinations and assess patients.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
Develop treatment plans, make specialist referrals, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility.

Required profile

Medical degree from an accredited institution and a current, valid medical license.
Completion of appropriate residency training; board certification or eligibility preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and patient‑care skills.
Ability to complete required credentialing and background screening.
