About the role
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at Northeastern University seeks part‑time instructors to teach German language and culture courses. Appointments are made on a per‑term basis and may be offered throughout the year depending on enrollment and departmental needs.
Key responsibilities
- Teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced German language courses.
- Deliver culture‑focused classes taught in English.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Maintain office hours and provide student support.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in German or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Previous teaching experience at the college level.
- Ability to maintain valid U.S. work authorization without university sponsorship.
