Part-Time Food Service Worker – Loftiss RYDC (Thomasville, GA)

About the role

This part‑time position supports food service operations at the Loftiss Regional Youth Development Center in Thomasville, Georgia. Working under direct supervision, you will assist in preparing, heating, and finishing food items while providing courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
• Clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances.
• Assist with food supply requisitions, sanitation, and maintenance inspections.
• Receive and process payments for food items.
• Replenish supplies at steam tables and service bars.
• Store food in designated containers to prevent spoilage.
• Unpack and store raw and prepared food products.

Required profile

• Equivalent combination of knowledge, education, or experience that enables performance of duties.
• Passion for food service and motivation to advance.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Availability for a day shift, up to 29 hours per week.

Required skills

• Cash handling.
• Use of manual and electric food preparation appliances.
