Parking Services Representative

About the role

The Parking Services Representative acts as the University’s point of contact for parking, traffic and circulation information. This role assists students, staff, visitors and the public while ensuring the efficient implementation of University parking policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide parking, traffic, directional and general information to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
• Act as a host for visitors and operate the valet parking program, including moving and jump‑starting vehicles.
• Operate information and parking booth facilities, issue warning notices and tickets, and conduct lot usage surveys.
• Observe and report lot, traffic and roadway maintenance needs; perform dispatch duties as required.
• Provide traffic control assistance during special events and emergencies.
• Handle cash transactions for daily pay lots, permits, passes and violations; perform register closing and fund reconciliation.
• Process permits and violations using a mainframe workstation, verify applications and register motor vehicles and bicycles.

Required profile

• Works under the general direction of the Operations Manager or designated authority.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Must be able to interact professionally with the University community and the public.
• Ability to handle cash and perform accurate financial reconciliations.
