Paralegal – Asylum Case Management (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asylum Paralegal to manage U.S. asylum cases from start to finish for a U.S. immigration law firm. This fully remote position is based in Turkey but works on California business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asylum applications (Form I-589) and supporting documentation.
• Draft client declarations, organize evidence, and prepare habeas corpus petitions, appeals, motions, bond applications, and immigration court filings.
• Communicate with clients, track deadlines, manage multiple active case files, and conduct weekly case reviews.
• Maintain accurate digital case files in the firm’s case management system.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year hands‑on U.S. asylum case experience (strict requirement).
• Full professional fluency in Turkish and English.
• Available to work 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PT (18:00 – 02:00 Turkey time).
• High ownership, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace.
• Degree in law or related field preferred; non‑lawyers with relevant experience are welcome.

Required skills

• Experience with U.S. asylum forms and documentation.
• Familiarity with detention, bond, BIA, or federal habeas matters (strong plus).
