About the role

The OR Trauma Surgical Technician provides equipment and supply support for endoscopy and surgical procedures on the night shift, without on‑call responsibilities. The role involves scrubbing for surgeries, assisting with endoscopies, and supporting the RN as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize equipment and supplies based on the surgery schedule.
  • Scrub and assist during surgical and endoscopic procedures.
  • Communicate patient care information to patients, families, and team members.
  • Adapt to rapid changes in patient volume, acuity, and resource availability.

Required profile

  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or 5 years of surgical technologist experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

  • Expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
  • Basic analytical skills and proficiency with computers and web‑based applications.
