About the role

The OR Trauma RN provides leadership in patient care on the surgical unit, focusing on weekend day shifts with no on‑call responsibilities. This role utilizes the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Key responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the nursing process and assess learning needs of patients and families.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve quality outcomes.
Communicate and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Valid RN licensure.
