About the role

The OR Trauma RN provides leadership in patient care on the surgery unit at Jefferson Highway, working weekends. The role follows the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and unit standards to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and assess learning needs.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while supervising resources.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, using data to drive optimal outcomes.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to work weekends and perform physically demanding tasks.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
Effective interpersonal, leadership, and delegation skills.
