Operator Associate – Manufacturing (Savannah, GA)

About the role

We are seeking an Operator Associate to join BASF’s Performance Chemicals team at our Savannah, GA facility. The role involves hands‑on manufacturing of catalyst technologies that support cleaner fuels and advanced battery materials.

Key responsibilities

• Operate major plant equipment such as pumps, valves, filters, screens, compressors and dryers following standard procedures.
• Participate in system‑improvement initiatives and maintain equipment to prevent shutdowns.
• Drive and operate a forklift for material handling.
• Record production data, interpret written, oral, diagrammatic and schedule instructions, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Monitor product quantity and quality, including performing analytical testing.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule.
• Basic numeracy skills for rating, ratios, percentages and reading bar graphs.

Required skills

• Operation of plant equipment (pumps, valves, filters, compressors, dryers).
