Operator 2 – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Operator 2 works the second shift on the St. Joseph plant, supporting the production of automotive brake components. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare packaging and containers for shipment, including taping, sealing, banding and stretch‑wrapping.
• Load and set tooling, make sensor adjustments, and operate CMM equipment.
• Manage tools, offsets, and pallet stops; perform tool settings and pre‑setting.
• Analyze part rejects, machine inefficiencies, and maintain PM completion logs.
• Repair pallets, fixtures, and batteries; use precision gauging and verify/fix poke yokes.
• Interpret SPC charts, support skilled trades, and operate material handling equipment.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend at a high‑school level and communicate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability.
• Team‑oriented, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
