Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our wet dog and cat food manufacturing plant in St. Joseph. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement while supporting our flagship brands such as Fancy Feast® and Beneful® Prepared Meals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement strategies for safety, sanitation, productivity and cost‑saving enhancements.
• Reduce unplanned stops, speed loss and waste while optimizing planned downtime to improve asset intensity.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives aligned with Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE).
• Identify root causes of problems and recommend effective solutions.
• Analyze post‑installation performance of new technology and capital equipment.
• Ensure finished products meet prescribed standards, are delivered on time and satisfy consumer expectations through employee coaching.
• Train employees on safety expectations, conduct behavioral‑based safety observations, workplace exams and safety meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a production or operations leadership role within manufacturing, military or a comparable environment.
