Operations Manager – Manufacturing (Salt Lake City)

About the role

Join Moog’s Commercial Circuits organization in Salt Lake City as an Operations Manager, leading a world‑class printed circuit card assembly (CCA) operation. You will drive day‑to‑day manufacturing performance while shaping long‑term strategic initiatives in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large team of supervisors, technicians and associates across multiple shifts.
• Maintain a strong safety focus and achieve an excellent safety record.
• Build a talent pipeline by recruiting, onboarding and developing leaders and associates.
• Create training and career development programs to improve quality and reduce lead time and cost.
• Establish clear operational guidelines and foster a culture of ownership, integrity and accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering to start‑up and optimise CCA equipment and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using metrics such as yield, OEE and throughput.
• Identify root causes for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Report area status and risks to leadership and promote cross‑department collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline, or at least 4 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of production operations or process‑development experience.
• At least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work cross‑functionally with production, quality, engineering and customers.

Required skills

• Experience with CCA manufacturing processes such as SMT, Select/Wave Solder, AXI, Conformal Coat, Flying Probe and electrical test.
• Standing up new production lines and bringing them to rate.
• Working in an Industry 4.0 environment.
• Applying lean manufacturing principles.
