Operations Business Analyst - Safety Support

About the role

The Operations Business Analyst - Safety Support supports daily safety operations and helps with projects and initiatives that improve safety performance across The Home Depot. The role uses analytical skills to evaluate information, spot trends and turn quantitative and qualitative data into insights, working with safety programs and field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day safety processes and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Review operational and safety data, including sales and financial analyses, cost-benefit analysis and data process modeling.
• Identify trends in consumer lifestyle and technology, run customer focus groups and scan business, industry and competitive trends.
• Interpret data using knowledge of statistics and procedures, and provide data to Directors to support decisions.
• Give input on forecasts and strategy based on product, technology and industry knowledge.
• Facilitate problem-solving sessions with multiple groups and synthesize findings into oral and written recommendations for upper management.
• Execute core operations projects and process improvements, and communicate issues and roadblocks.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, 1 year of business, retail and/or consulting experience, and 3 years of total experience.
• Reports to an Operations Process Manager or Business Manager; no direct supervision of others.
• Travel of less than 10% overnight; mostly sitting work in an indoor setting.
