Operations Assistant

About the role

The Campus Operations Assistant supports community building, engagement programming, and operational excellence at Northeastern University's Miami campus. Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, the role blends event coordination, student and staff engagement, and technology support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement engagement initiatives for students, faculty, and staff, including recognition programs and networking events.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal and external campus events, handling logistics, vendor coordination, and day‑of management.
• Provide general campus operations support, including reception coverage, mail services, room scheduling, and inventory management.
• Train and mentor work‑study students, developing SOPs and professional development resources.
• Create internal marketing materials and support classroom technology during events.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 2‑5 years of administrative support experience in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, respond to last‑minute requests, and maintain professionalism.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook; experience with higher‑education platforms preferred.
