Occupational Therapist

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and deliver therapy programs that restore function, prevent disability, and help patients achieve maximum independence. The role involves direct patient care, assessment, and collaboration with patients, families, and the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans of care using evidence‑based techniques.
• Provide treatment including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional mobility training, ADL training, splinting/DME, and modalities.
• Perform reassessments and modify care plans as needed.
• Document patient progress and communicate limitations to supervisors, physicians, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental billing guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience; successful completion of required clinical experiences.
• Ability to travel to home‑care assignments and perform physical tasks such as lifting 40‑50 lb.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (required upon hire).
