Ob/Gyn Generalist – Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Focus

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an experienced Ob/Gyn Generalist with a focus on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery to join its extensive network of hospitals and surgical sites across southeastern Pennsylvania. The position involves both outpatient gynecology practice and inpatient coverage, including backup obstetric support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and surgical management for complex benign gynecologic conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic pain.
• Perform minimally invasive procedures—including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and robotic surgery—using advanced techniques.
• Deliver peri‑operative, preventive, and problem‑focused gynecologic care in office and hospital settings.
• Participate in academic activities such as lectures, curriculum development, and simulation training for residents and medical students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams (general surgery, colorectal, urology, plastic surgery) to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Board‑certified OB/GYN with at least 10 years of attending experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated aptitude in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS) through fellowship, designation, or documented case volume.
• Active privileges for advanced robotic and/or laparoscopic gynecologic surgery for the past 5+ years.
• Submission of a 24‑month case log showing ≥100 minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries per year.
