Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction in Palm Beach County, is hiring an APRN/PA. The APRN/PA works alongside physicians and other patient care team members in an active practice to deliver health care to patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care.
• Perform procedures and prescribe medications under protocol.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Participate in the marketing, evaluation and growth of the center.
• Support the physician and act as first assistant in the operating room.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Masters degree in Nursing or a Physician Assistant degree.
• Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment, including pushing or pulling up to 40 lbs and carrying or lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment, make sound decisions independently and work with attention to detail.

Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, TB/PPD surveillance program, and maintenance of professional licensure and certification are also required.
