Nurse Practitioner – Addiction Medicine / Behavioral Health

About the role

Renewal Falls Recovery Center, in partnership with Ascension Recovery Services, seeks a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care for adults in substance‑use disorder treatment. The role offers meaningful clinical autonomy within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations, complete medical histories, physical exams, and ongoing patient assessments.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions related to the recovery program.
• Evaluate and treat patients experiencing substance withdrawal, including medication‑assisted treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications as needed.
• Review laboratory results, diagnostic tests, and external medical records to guide care.
• Identify changes in patient condition and coordinate timely interventions or referrals.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, case managers, physicians, and other team members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.

Required profile

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience in adult primary care or a strong interest in addiction medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team‑based model.
• Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and professional development.

Required skills

• Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) and withdrawal management.
• Clinical assessment and physical examination.
• Prescribing and monitoring of medications, including MAT/MOUD.
• Interpretation of laboratory results and diagnostic testing.
