Behavioral Health Supervisor – Recovery Center

About the role

The Behavioral Health Supervisor will lead the Recovery Support Services team at Renewal Falls Recovery Center, a new behavioral health and substance‑use disorder facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Reporting to the Executive Director, this full‑time, exempt position shapes program culture, ensures operational excellence, and delivers a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for Behavioral Health Technicians and Recovery Support Specialists.
• Develop staffing schedules, recruit, onboard, and train new support staff.
• Oversee daily Recovery Support operations, patient engagement activities, and maintain consistent program routines.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, admissions, and operations leaders to ensure high‑quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate patient orientation, integration, and lead educational or recovery‑focused group sessions.
• Participate in leadership meetings, policy development, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supervising behavioral health or recovery support staff.
• Strong understanding of substance‑use disorder treatment environments and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and team‑building abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
