Nurse Clinician – OBGYN (Full‑Time Days)

About the role

Join Northwestern Medicine as a full‑time Nurse Clinician in the OBGYN department. You will provide comprehensive patient assessments, deliver nursing interventions, and coordinate education for the unit’s population while working in a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Supervise medical equipment and provide pre‑attending patient care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments of chief complaints using the nursing process.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient information accurately.
• Execute routine nursing duties such as phlebotomy, medication administration, vital sign measurement, and lab specimen preparation.
• Perform complex procedures including conscious sedation, chemotherapy administration, inseminations, implantable pain‑pump adjustment, and wound excision/drainage.
• Interpret test results, take remedial action, and collaborate with physicians and other departments.
• Communicate with external agencies as needed while maintaining patient confidentiality.
