Night Shift Group Leader – 6pm to 6am

About the role

We are looking for a Production Shift Group Leader to manage the 6 pm‑6 am night shift at our Aqueous Dispersions Department in Louisville. The leader supervises 6‑10 union‑represented operators, ensuring safe, efficient production while meeting quality and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily tailgate meetings to communicate safety messages, work assignments and production priorities.
• Maintain production logs, attend Daily Operating Team meetings and document safety incidents through the Accident/Incident Management Program.
• Submit work notifications, prepare safe‑work permits and coordinate maintenance priorities.
• Perform SAP transactions for production posting, material consumption and inventory movements.
• Enforce housekeeping standards, audit compliance and schedule staffing, vacation and overtime.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED and at least 5 years of experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a zero‑incident safety mindset.
• Ability to work rotating 12‑hour night shifts, lift up to 50 lb and operate in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• SAP or similar inventory and production reporting system.
