Production Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Palmyra, MO. Relocation assistance is available, if applicable. Come create chemistry with us!

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all activities comply with BASF regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and applicable State and Federal regulations.
• Monitor and analyze plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical support and direction to shift supervisors and operators to resolve plant problems.
• Coordinate and support Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Program and perform basic maintenance on distributive control systems and support contractor oversight during shutdowns, turnarounds, and start‑ups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 3–5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process development.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety, health and environmental laws, including Process Safety Management.

Required skills

• Process Safety Management (PSM) implementation.
• Programming and maintenance of distributive control systems.
• Chemical process performance analysis and monitoring.
