Neurology Nursing Infusion Supervisor

About the role

This position supervises and provides direct patient care within a neurology infusion unit, coordinating nursing interventions and ensuring safe infusion therapy for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Receive patients, explain procedures, check vital signs, and administer infusion therapies such as hydration, blood products, and medications.
• Monitor patient reactions, report to physicians, and handle emergency situations.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate nursing staff and technicians, manage staffing and supplies, and resolve conflicts on assigned shifts.
• Promote evidence‑based nursing protocols, collaborate with quality and safety leadership, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a BSN; RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years LPN experience) in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacology, laboratory tests, and telemetry.
• Ability to safely monitor patients throughout infusion therapy.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
