MRI Technologist – Night Shift with $20K Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

This position maintains safety in the MRI environment while assessing patients and performing routine MRI procedures according to prescribed protocols. The Registered MRI Technologist also serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their understanding.
• Operate MRI equipment independently and place IVs as needed.
• Review images before transmission to confirm diagnostic quality.
• Complete timely quality‑control procedures and address any regulatory issues.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT, ARMRIT or CAMRT registration, or equivalent MRI technologist credentials with at least 6 months supervised MRI scanning experience.
• Advanced MRI certification (ACR‑recognized) required within two years of hire.
• Clinical MRI experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating MRI equipment.
• Experience with radiology information system (RIS) software.
• Computer skills for data entry and retrieval, including Windows‑style applications.
