MRI Technologist

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure safe MRI practices. This position supports patient care across all age groups in an outpatient facility.

Key responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners, set technical parameters, and acquire high‑quality cross‑sectional images.
• Prepare, position, and pre‑screen patients, providing education about the examination.
• Submit images and patient data to PACS promptly and maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform contrast injections under radiologist supervision and assist in maintaining a clean, orderly department.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited radiology program.
• Certification requirements: BLS (American Heart Association) upon hire; RT, MR, ARRT, or ARMRIT within one year of hire.
• Ability to handle confidential medical information and exercise sound judgment during MRI exams.

Required skills

• Operation of MRI equipment and image management systems.
• Technical data interpretation and PACS workflow.
• Contrast injection techniques under supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
