MRI Technologist – Full Time – Jefferson Highway

About the role

The MRI Technologist ensures safety in the MRI environment while assessing patients and performing routine MRI procedures according to established protocols. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedure accuracy.
• Explain the MRI procedure to patients and obtain consent.
• Operate MRI equipment independently, including IV placement, and acquire diagnostic‑quality images.
• Review images before transmission and perform quality‑control checks.
• Maintain departmental operations such as inventory, scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to federal, state, and accreditation standards and report any compliance concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor degree in allied health is preferred.
• At least 6 months of supervised clinical MRI scanning experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT registration or unlimited state license, or equivalent imaging certification (ARDMS, NMTCB).
• Advanced MRI certification recognized by the ACR Registry within two years of hire.
