About the role
We are building a Large Physics foundation Model to enable causal intelligence that can predict the future and identify actions to alter it. As a Member of Technical Staff in Research Engineering, Evaluation, you will create the central evaluation framework that powers the entire research organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a reusable evaluation framework used by every model and team.
- Develop evaluation pipelines, benchmark suites, and baselines to make model quality measurable and comparable.
- Build visualization and dashboard tools that turn raw results into shared, actionable insights.
- Establish sound statistical methodology so teams can distinguish real improvements from noise.
- Collaborate with research and domain teams to translate domain‑specific notions of “good” into standardized, automated metrics.
Required profile
- Relentless problem‑solver with rapid execution and quick learning in unfamiliar domains.
- Strong software engineering background with experience building data or evaluation pipelines at scale.
- Ability to turn research or model outputs into reliable metrics, benchmarks, and visualizations.
- Solid grasp of probability and statistics, enabling design of evaluations that truly measure what they claim.
- Full‑stack capability: comfortable building both backend pipelines and frontend tools.
