Medical Breast Oncologist – Covington, LA

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Hematologist‑Oncologist to join the St. Tammany Cancer Center in Covington, LA. The physician will provide comprehensive breast cancer care within a multidisciplinary team that follows MD Anderson protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sub‑specialty, multidisciplinary cancer treatment including medical oncology, surgery and radiation coordination.
• Participate in a weekly call rotation shared with regional physicians.
• Serve as a hospital consultant and collaborate with specialists across the Ochsner Health System.
• Engage in research and teaching activities as opportunities arise.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist‑Oncologist.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, multi‑specialty environment and participate in call rotation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience with chemotherapy infusion and radiation oncology processes.
