Medical Assistant – Urogynecology Clinic

About the role

The Medical Assistant will provide individualized care to patients in the Urogynecology Clinic, supporting both in‑person and remote interactions under the supervision of a licensed provider. This full‑time position ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high‑quality communication throughout each visit.

Key responsibilities

• Support patients and providers throughout the visit, preparing exam rooms and answering patient questions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including patient registration and electronic medical records.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person to meet patient needs promptly.
• Adhere to departmental policies, including drug testing programs and privacy standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED (required); completion of a formal medical assistant training program (preferred).
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge relevant to urogynecology care.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications for documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
