Medical Assistant (Remote)

About the role

Salvo Health is looking for an organized Medical Assistant to join its remote care team. The role supports telehealth services by handling administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring smooth patient interactions and accurate documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound patient intake calls to gather medical information and update records.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow‑ups, and daily patient task workflows.
• Manage, triage, and respond to incoming patient messages and clinical inquiries.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation within EHR systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and protect patient data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Background as a Medical Assistant, Virtual Medical Assistant, or healthcare administrative support specialist.
• Experience with GI conditions and remote clinical care is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a patient‑first attitude.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced virtual environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EHR platforms such as Epic, eCW, or gGastro.
• Experience in message triaging and medical charting.
• Familiarity with telemedicine tools and virtual care workflows.
