Medical Assistant – Oncology Clinic (Full Time)

About the role

The Medical Assistant will provide individualized care to oncology patients in person, electronically, and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. This role supports both patients and providers throughout each visit, ensuring smooth workflow and high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the patient and provider throughout the visit, preparing rooms and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
• Answer patient questions, complete documentation, and handle patient registration when needed.
• Communicate effectively by phone and in person to meet patient needs promptly.
• Maintain clinical knowledge, technical skills, and required credentials through ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED (required); formal medical assistant training program (preferred).
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
