About the role

The Medical Assistant provides individualized care to OBGYN patients under the supervision of a licensed provider. The role involves direct patient interaction, documentation, and support for the attending physician throughout each visit.

Key responsibilities

  • Support patients and providers during visits, ensuring preparation of exam rooms and answering patient questions before discharge.
  • Communicate with patients by phone and in person, document clinical information in the health system, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Complete patient registration, documentation, and other required paperwork accurately.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal medical assistant training program preferred.
  • Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

  • Clinical knowledge relevant to OBGYN care.
  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
