Medical Assistant – Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. As a Medical Assistant in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic, you will provide individualized medical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed health care provider, supporting both patients and physicians throughout each visit.

Key responsibilities

• Support patients and providers throughout the visit, ensuring preparation and answering patient questions before discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including patient registration and clinical notes, using the company’s data systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients over the phone and in person to meet their needs promptly.
• Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy and diverse backgrounds, obtaining necessary permissions.
• Comply with departmental policies, including drug and alcohol testing programs when applicable.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information and working in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
